I thought I had spent my life choosing myself. I crossed cultures, defied expectations, moved through marriages and motherhood, and built a global career—only to realize I'd given pieces of myself away in exchange for belonging. More than once, I took my life apart to get it back. Through my story, women will see what is uniquely theirs—and what the world loses every time they hide it.

A tiny gathering where we sit around a virtual table, pour our favorite beverage, and crack open one Hidden Structure of Choice: the invisible pattern running underneath how we choose. We'll simply doodle and decode. No skill required!
This session: Legitimacy.
Do I belong here, or did I just get good at seeming like I do? We'll sit with the ways we contort ourselves to seem proper, or smart enough, or the real thing — and what we disown to pull it off.
All you need is to read a short slice of life story and a couple of drawing supplies. This is a warm conversation about something most of us do.

INTRODUCING BEAUTIFUL POWER
July 15, 2026
A conversation around Beautiful Power—built from lived experience and over thirty in-depth interviews with women about power. We explored what it is to walk away, where we override our instincts, and why imposter syndrome feels like gaslighting.
What came out of the room:
We aren't disconnected from our power. More often, we override it in order to belong, achieve, or stay safe.
Much of what feels like "our" path is inherited from the systems, expectations, and identities we've learned to trust. Real power begins when we notice we have a choice.
Beautiful Power isn't about reinvention. It is the visible expression of returning to ourselves and expanding from there.
We don't become powerful by suppressing what we feel. Presence, breath, intuition, creativity, and vulnerability are not distractions from power—they are how we access it.
MOVING WITH VISIBLE VULNERABILITY

Three women who have spent their lives creating in public — Grace Valerie (Singer, Actress & Content Creator), Carmen Scott (Actress, Writer & Founder, Flesh Onesie Creations), and Sumanma Wadhwa (MFA Visual Storyteller & Founder, Art Leela Design House) — talked honestly about what it means to move with visible vulnerability rather than wait for it to pass.
What came out of the room:
Fear and vulnerability are not the same thing. We tend to mix them up. Fear tells you to stop. Vulnerability is what happens when you keep going honestly anyway.
The hardest visibility isn't public. It comes from the people who knew earlier versions of you — and haven't updated their picture yet.
Visibility has a cost. Relationships that couldn't grow with you. Comfort. The ability to hide. Nothing lost was worth keeping more than themselves.
Being visible and being known are not the same thing. Known is what happens through real connection, over time, through what people feel when they're around you.
When you see the beauty within you, things change. People start seeing you differently too.
NAVIGATING THE UNKNOWN

What came out of the room:
The knowing comes before the certainty. You don’t need the full plan — just the willingness to notice what you already know.
To expand, we often have to contract. What no longer fits — relationships, identities, roles — isn’t loss. It’s space being made.
You’re not starting over. Everything you’ve built is preparation. The walk-away is not a rejection of who you’ve been, but a continuation.
The mess is the path. Non-linear, unglamorous, and more honest than anything that looks clean from the outside.
Through keynotes, workshops, and guided discussions, Sunaina Mehta speaks to groups, teams, conferences, and campuses on belonging, agency, and the hidden structures of choice.
